1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PluginBid (“pluginbid.com”, “we”, “us”), operated by Tanveer Dhool and MTD Technologies.
By browsing the website, bidding on a rank, or submitting a WordPress plugin listing, you expressly agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2. Eligible Submissions & Content Policy
To list a product on PluginBid, you must satisfy all of the following requirements:
- WordPress Plugins Only: Every submission must be an authentic, working WordPress plugin. Listings for unrelated software, general landing pages, or spam will be rejected or removed.
- No Malware or Security Threats: Plugins containing obfuscated backdoors, cryptocurrency miners, trojans, ransomware, or malicious code are strictly prohibited and will be permanently banned.
- Authorization: You must be the author, maintainer, or an authorized representative of the plugin you are listing or boosting.
- Lawful Content: Submissions must not infringe upon third-party copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, or promote illegal activities.
3. The Pay-to-Rank Mechanism & Bidding Rules
PluginBid operates on a transparent, public pay-to-rank system without hidden algorithmic favoritism:
- Rank Allocation: Rankings are calculated purely based on the cumulative dollar amount contributed toward that plugin’s listing.
- Minimum Bid: New listings require a minimum payment of $10.00 USD.
- Taking Rank #1: To claim the #1 spot on the All-Time leaderboard, a bid must surpass the current #1 listing by at least $5.00 USD.
- Tie-Breaker Rule: If two plugins have paid the exact same total amount, the plugin that achieved that total earlier maintains the higher position.
- Live Re-calculation: Adding funds immediately re-ranks your plugin on all live leaderboards (All-Time, 30-Day, and 7-Day windows).
4. Payments & Non-Refundable Policy
Because pay-to-rank placement, leaderboard spotlighting, and link visibility are delivered and consumed in real-time immediately upon payment confirmation:
All bids and ranking payments are final and non-refundable.
You acknowledge that rank is subject to subsequent outbidding by other plugin authors at any time. Being outranked does not entitle a user to a refund or clawback of past payments.
5. Intellectual Property & Trademarks
WordPress is a registered trademark of the WordPress Foundation. PluginBid is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Automattic Inc., the WordPress Foundation, or WordPress.org.
All plugin logos, names, and promotional copy remain the intellectual property of their respective owners. By submitting a plugin to PluginBid, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to display your plugin title, summary, link, and public rank on pluginbid.com.
6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
PluginBid is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. We make no representations or warranties regarding the volume of clicks, sales, user conversions, or search engine ranking effects that your listing may generate.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, neither PluginBid, Tanveer Dhool, nor MTD Technologies shall be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to or inability to use the platform.
7. Removal of Listings
We reserve the right to remove, suspend, or modify any listing without refund if it is discovered that the listing represents malicious code, violates copyright or trademark rights, or attempts to exploit system vulnerabilities.
